Authentic Traditional Indian Garlic Naan Bread
Garlic Naan is a flavorful Indian bread cooked using yeast, enhanced with the aroma and taste of garlic. Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast
- 1 Cup of warm water
- 4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 4 cloves of minced garlic
- 3 tbls of plain yogurt
- 2 tbls of melted unsalted butter
- 2 tbls of chopped coriander leaves
- Cup of extra flour for rolling
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Directions
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Add the yeast mixture, yogurt, and minced garlic to the flour. Mix until a rough dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until elastic and smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Preheat your grilling pan over medium heat.
Knock back the dough. Divide it into 8-10 equal parts and roll each piece into a flat, round shape.
Cook the naan on the preheated grilling pan, one at a time, for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until lightly browned and puffy.
Brush each cooked naan with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve your homemade Garlic Naan warm with your favorite curries.
