- 500 g Red beet
- 200 g carrot
- 50 g butter
- 1 pcs onion
- 1 pcs Red pepper
- 11⁄2 l water
- 2 pcs Potatoes
- 2 pcs garlic
- 1⁄2 pcs dill
- 3 pcs bay leaf
- 10 g salt
For serving
- 200 g cream
- Parsley leaves

1. Step
First, prepare all the ingredients. Peel and grate the beetroot and carrot on a coarse grater. Chop the onion and pepper into small pieces.
2. Step
Melt the butter in a pot and add the chopped onion and pepper. Sauté until they start to soften.
3. Step
Add the grated beetroot and carrot and fry for about 5 more minutes. Then add water and bring to a boil.
4. Step
While the mixture is cooking, peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes. Add them to the pot and cook for another 20 minutes.

Then we add garlic, dill, bay leaf, and salt. Cook for another 10 minutes.

The borsch is ready.
