Directions
First of all, leave the vanilla ice cream at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes to ease the layering process.
Take a loaf pan and line it with cling wrap. Then fill the pan with the vanilla ice cream and spread it out evenly. Follow this by sprinkling the chopped nuts. Place the loaf pan in the freezer for about 1 hour.
The next layer is the strawberry ice cream. Repeat the same process of spreading it evenly in the pan and then topping it off with the candied fruits. Again, place it in the freezer for 1 hour.
The last layer is the chocolate ice cream. Same process applies here. Spread it in the loaf pan and top it with the grated dark chocolate. Once all layers are placed properly, cover it with cling wrap and leave it in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until it is firmly set.
To serve, flip the pan over a serving plate and remove the cling wrap. Cut the ice cream into slices while it's still firm and enjoy the multilayered delicious Cassata Ice Cream.
