Cinnamon cake

I love cinnamon buns, they create such a cosy and homely atmosphere when baked in the kitchen. I think this cake is one of the easiest to make and is always a big hit with my family. Not only is it delicious, but it's also dear to my heart because of its simple preparation.

Directions

35 min.
1. Step

First, preheat the oven to 180 °C. This is important so that the dough is baked evenly.

2. Step

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl. My tip is to always sift the flour, as this will make your dough much lighter.

3. Step

Add the egg and butter. The butter should be at room temperature, as this makes the dough easier to work with. Knead the ingredients together by hand until the dough is smooth and holds together.

4. Step

Form the dough into dumplings and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Press the tops down slightly with your fingers. Always leave enough space between the cookies, as they will grow as they bake.

5. Step

Bake the cakes for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Always keep an eye on the oven, because every oven bakes differently!
