Classic Basic Vanilla Ice Cream

- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 Cup of whole milk
- 3⁄4 Cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
- pinch of salt

Directions
In a medium saucepan, heat the milk, half of the sugar and the pinch of salt over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream and the remaining sugar together until well combined.
Once the milk mixture is heated, slowly mix it into the cream mixture.
After the mixtures are combined, stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions (Usually about 20-30 minutes).
Once the ice cream is churned, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm enough to scoop.
Serve your homemade vanilla ice cream on its own or with your chosen sides.
