Egg-free cookies - recipe from Agata
This easy egg-free cookie recipe has been one of my favorites since I tried it a few years ago. It's a wonderfully soft and chocolatey treat that's also perfect for a quick snack.
Ingredients
- 200 g self-rising flour
- 175 g sugar
- 150 g softened butter
- 60 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 Teaspoon baking soda
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 3 Tablespoon milk
- 1 Pinch Salt Salt

Directions
In a large bowl, beat the soft butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the cocoa powder and vanilla sugar and continue to beat until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Once the dough has been kneaded, roll out and cut out round or other shapes and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake the cookies without the egg in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10-12 minutes. Don't worry if they are still a little soft when you take them out. They will firm up even more when they cool down!
Finished egg-free cookies can be dusted with powdered sugar or stuck together with jam before serving.
