Elderflower Syrup
An excellent and refreshing elderflower syrup, which is ideal for preparing cold drinks or for flavoring ice cream. This syrup can be prepared at home very easily and quickly.
Ingredients
- 20 pcs Lilac flowers
- 1 l water
- 1 kg sugar
- 1 pcs lemon

Directions
Rinse the elderflowers under running water and let them drip dry. Let them air out a bit to get rid of all the insects.
Pour water into a large pot, add sugar and let it dissolve. Bring the water to a boil.
Wash the lemon, slice it and add it to the boiling water.
Add elderflowers to the pot and boil for 20 minutes.
After cooking, let the mixture cool down and then strain it through a sieve. This removes the flowers and lemon.
We pour the syrup into sterilized bottles and seal them. We store in a cool and dark place.
