Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

2. Step

In a bowl, mix together egg yolks, 1/2 cup sugar, water, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.

Sift cake flour into the yolk mixture and mix well until it becomes smooth.

In another bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until it forms soft peaks.
