- 2 cups granulated
- 1⁄2 Cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 11⁄2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 7 ounces marshmallow crème
- 1⁄2 Cup chopped nuts (optional)

Prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk over medium heat. Stir continuously.
Reduce low and let it simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the saucepan from heat and add vanilla extract, chocolate chips, marshmallow creme, (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir until all the ingredients are completely melted and well combined.
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
Let the fudge cool at room temperature for about 1-2 hours, or until firm and set.
Once the fudge has cooled and hardened, cut it into 16 equal squares.
