Healthy Homemade Strawberry Chia Seed Jam
This healthy, simple, and delicious Strawberry Chia Jam is naturally sweetened with honey. It’s packed full of nutritious chia seeds, requires only four ingredients and is incredibly easy to make. This jam is perfect for spreading on toast, top of a pancake, and even great in your morning oatmeal.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of fresh strawberries (may also use frozen)
- 2 tbls of honey
- 2 tbls of chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice

Directions
If using fresh strawberries, wash and hull them, if using frozen there's no need for prep. Place your strawberries in a saucepan over medium heat.
As the berries start to heat up and their juices start to come out, mash them with the back of a fork or a potato masher until it's pulverized but a few chunky pieces remain.
Stir in the chia seeds, honey, and lemon juice until they're well combined.
Reduce the heat to low and let the jam simmer for about 15 minutes, stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the pan.
After the jam thickens, remove the pan from heat, and let it cool for a few minutes.
Transfer the jam to a jar and let it cool completely before covering and refrigerating.
The jam will keep in the fridge for up to two weeks.
