How to make Grilled Portobello Mushroom Burgers
These Mushroom Burgers are an excellent vegetarian alternative for a quick lunch or dinner. These burgers are rich in flavor, highly filling and amazingly nutritious. The savory grilled mushrooms coupled with the spices, makes it irresistible even for non-vegetarians. Savor it with your favorite burger bun and extra toppings as you wish!
Ingredients
- 4 large portobello mushrooms
- 4 cheesy burger buns
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 4 cheese slices
- 2 tbls olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 Lettuce leaves
- Ketchup or mayonnaise as per taste

Directions
Preheat your grill to medium heat.
Clean the mushrooms carefully and remove the stems.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture generously on both sides of the mushrooms.
Place the mushrooms on the preheated grill, cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until they are tender and juicy.
Meanwhile, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill.
To assemble the burger, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Top it with a grilled mushroom, a slice of cheese, a few slices of tomato and onion.
Add a dollop of your favorite sauce on top. Cover with the top half of the bun.
Your delicious mushroom burgers are ready to be served.
