Indian Lentil Dhal
Red lentil dhal is a classic Indian dish that is not only nutritious but also tasty.
Ingredients
- 1 mug red lentils
- 3 mug water
- 1 tablespoon Root spice
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 kl chili powder
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 pcs onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

Directions
In a pot, mix the lentils, water, spices, turmeric and chili powder. Let it simmer on medium heat until the lentils are soft and falling apart, approximately 15 minutes. Then remove from the heat.
Meanwhile, in a pan, heat the oil and add the onion. Fry until the onion is golden brown, approximately 10 minutes. Then add garlic and ginger, and fry for another 2 minutes.
Add the onion mixture to the pot with lentils and mix well. If the soup is too thick, add a bit of water.
Serve warm, sprinkle with coriander and serve with bread or rice.
