Directions

10 min.
1. Step

Begin by rimming your glasses with salt. To do this, rub the rim of each glass with a lime slice and then dip it into some coarse salt. I've found that chilling the glasses in the freezer before this makes the salt stick better and also keeps your margarita cooler longer.

2. Step

In a blender, combine tequila, fresh lime juice, Triple Sec, powdered sugar, and crushed ice. Based on my experience, using fresh lime juice really enhances the taste. Trust me on this, the bottled lime juice just won't do here.

3. Step

Blend the mixture until it's smooth and creamy. We're looking for a slush-like consistency that's not too watery. If necessary, add more ice and blend again until you get it just right. Remember, when adding more ice, go slow. You don't want your margarita to taste watered down.

4. Step

Pour the mixture into your salt-rimmed glasses, garnish with lime slices, and serve immediately. You'll have four perfect margaritas to share. Enjoy!
