- 1 cm round shortcrust pastry dough
- 1⁄2 Cup shredded mozzarella
- 1⁄2 Cup shredded gruyere
- 3⁄4 Cup frozen spinach thawed drained
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg

Flour the surface.Lay out shortcrust pastry dough.
Beat egg.Lightly brush pastry dough with eggwash.
Spread mozzarella evenly.Then, gruyere cheese.
Add 1/2 tsp garlic powder and salt to thawed and drained frozen spinach. Mix.
Spread seasoned spinach evenly on top of the cheese.
Roll pastry dough firmly but gentle.Cut dough about an inch thick.
Re-shape dough with your hands to have nice round even appearance.
Arrange on baking sheet giving enough space in between.
Lightly brush top and sides with beaten egg.
Bake at pre-heated oven 200 C (400F) for 18-20 minutes.Enjoy your hearty and flavorful shortcrust spinach cheese pastry bites
