Simple Creamy Garlic Prawn Pasta

- 8 oz Spaghetti Pasta
- 1 lb fresh prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbls olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, careful not to burn it.
Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the prawns to the skillet. Cook for 2-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet. Stir in the dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Return the prawns to the skillet and toss them in the tomato sauce for about 1 minute to heat through.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss well with the sauce, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined.
Serve the prawn pasta hot, garnished wfresh basil.
