Tasty Sweet Potato Chips

As a lover of healthy snacks, one of my favorite recipes is sweet potato chips. I have made this recipe several times and each time it becomes a hit with my guests. Sweet potatoes are very nutritious and add a sweet touch that, combined with the spices, is delicious.

1. Step

Preheat the oven to 180ºC. During my experience, I have noticed that this is the perfect temperature point for cooking the sweet potato chips.

2. Step

Wash the sweet potatoes well, since we are going to use them with the skin on. Once washed, dry them well.

3. Step

Cut the sweet potatoes into thin slices. Here, I would recommend using a mandolin if you have one handy, as it allows you to obtain slices of equal thickness, which ensures even cooking.

4. Step

In a large bowl, add the sweet potato slices, olive oil, salt and paprika. Mix well until all the slices are coated with the oil and spices. I firmly believe that this step is crucial to give them a special flavor to the chips.

5. Step

Place the sweet potato slices on a baking sheet, without overlapping them. This is another key element for crispy chips.

6. Step

Bake for about 20 minutes, or until crispy. I suggest you keep a close eye on the chips during the last few minutes to prevent them from burning.

7. Step

Once cooked, let them cool before serving. The sweet potato chips become even crispier as they cool.
