The best apple pie with cottage cheese filling
Juicy cake with fresh apples and a layer of creamy curd. Perfect for an afternoon coffee or as a sweet ending to a dinner. The cake base is made of shortcrust pastry and the apple-quark filling is filled and baked.
Ingredients
For the dough:
- 250 g flour
- 125 g sugar
- 125 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 Pinch salt
- 1 TL baking soda
For the filling:
- 500 g Curd
- 100 g sugar
- 1 Packet vanilla sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Tablespoon semolina
- 600 g apple
- 1 TL cinnamon

Directions
For the apple pie with cottage cheese recipe, preheat the oven to 180 degrees (convection oven 160 degrees).
Make a shortcrust pastry with flour, sugar, butter, egg, salt and baking powder. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel the apples, remove the core and cut into small pieces. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Mix curd, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs and semolina.
Grease a springform pan. Roll out the dough and line the bottom and sides of the pan with it.
Put the apple pieces on the dough and spread the curd mixture on top.
Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the curd filling is set.
Remove the apple pie with cottage cheese from the oven and let cool. Dust with powdered sugar to taste and serve.
