Turmeric Latte "Golden Milk"
Turmeric Latte or "Golden Milk" is a milky, warming and refreshing drink, perfect for cold evenings. I love this recipe and have made it countless times. The combination of turmeric, ginger and cinnamon is a real taste sensation while providing numerous health benefits. The trick is to gently simmer the ginger and turmeric on low heat to bring out their full flavor. Give it a try!
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Almond milk (cow's milk or soy milk also work well)
- 1 Teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 small piece of fresh ginger, finely chopped
- 1⁄2 Teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 2 Teaspoon honey (optional)

Directions
To prepare turmeric latte pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat. I recommend not to bring the milk to a boil, as this may affect the taste.
Add the turmeric powder, chopped ginger and cinnamon powder. Stir the mixture throughout to prevent lumps from forming. The longer you let the drink simmer on low heat, the more intense the flavor will be.
Once the milk is hot enough and the spices are well incorporated, remove the pot from the heat and sweeten your drink with honey to taste. Remember not to dissolve the honey in too hot liquid, as this can damage its nutrients.
Divide the turmeric latte between two cups and enjoy hot.
