Best Authentic Greek Chicken Marinade
Our Greek Chicken Marinade recipe will give your chicken a Mediterranean lift, with its combination of olive oil, lemon, garlic and herbs. A flavorful marinade that adds a juicy and savory taste to your chicken dish that everyone in the family will enjoy!
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1⁄4 Cup of olive oil
- 2 tbls of red wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of honey or sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

Directions
Start by combining the minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, honey or sugar, salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Mix well.
Place the chicken breasts in a Ziplock bag or a shallow dish, and pour the marinade over the chicken.
Seal the bag or cover the dish, and allow the chicken to marinate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, in the refrigerator.
When ready to cook, remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding any leftover marinade. The chicken can then be grilled, bbq'd, or cooked as per you prefer and will be ready to serve.
