Chicken breast Chinese recipe

I have made this recipe several times and it has always been a great success. However, it is worth experimenting with the spices so that everyone can find their ideal flavour.

1. Step

Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and the carrots and onion into small cubes. Rinse the bamboo shoots. Note that the size of the strips and cubes will determine the simmering time of the meat and vegetables, so it is a good idea to cut the chicken and vegetables into the same size so that they soften at the same time. Set the prepared ingredients aside.

2. Step

Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it will become bitter, so it is best to sauté over a lower heat, stirring constantly. Then add the chicken breast strips, season with salt and pepper and fry until white on all sides. Then add the carrots, bamboo shoots and ginger. Mix well and add the soy sauce. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

3. Step

It can be served with rice or pasta, or on its own. A sprinkle of fresh coriander or green onions can make it even more special.
