Delicious Homemade Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich

- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 Cup buttermilk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Oil, for frying
- 4 Brioche buns (alternatively use Hamburger buns)
- 1⁄4 Cup mayonnaise
- 10 dill pickle slices
- Lettuce leaves (optional)

Begin by marinating the chicken. In a large bowl, combine the chicken breasts, buttermilk, garlic powder, and paprika. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight, if possible.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and pepper.
Remove one piece of chicken at a time from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring all sides are covered.
Heat the oil in a heavy frying pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the chicken. Cook for around 6-7 minutes per side until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
While the chicken is frying, cut the buns in half and spread some mayonnaise on each half.
Place the fried chicken on the bottom half of each bun. Top with dill pickle slices and lettuce, if desired.
Place the top half of the bun on the sandwiches. Serve immediately.
