Delicious Veal in Sauce
Beef in sauce is one of the dishes I most enjoy preparing and sharing at home. Not only because of its ample and comforting flavor, but also because it brings back memories of my grandmother who used to make it for family dinners. The combination of the well-seasoned veal and the richly bound wine and vegetable-based sauce creates a blend of flavors that is irresistible.

Directions
Start the recipe by browning the meat. To do this, cut the veal into medium-sized cubes and season with salt and pepper. In a casserole, add a little olive oil and when it is hot, add the meat. Note that it is important to do this in batches so that the meat browns and does not cook.
Once the meat is browned, remove from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add a little more oil and add the finely chopped onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat until lightly colored.
Add the thinly sliced carrots, bay leaves and stir well. This is when we add the red wine, it is important to use a good quality one as it will provide much of the flavor to our sauce.
When the wine has reduced by half, it is time to add the reserved meat. Add the water and simmer for about an hour and a half, or until the meat is tender.
Taste and adjust the salt if necessary. And now your veal in sauce is ready, ideal to serve with baked potatoes or a little white rice.
