Dill sauce with meat and dumpling
Traditional Slovak dill sauce with meat is a simple and tasty meal that can be prepared for the whole family. This dish goes well with various side dishes - we like it with dumpling.
Ingredients
Meat
- 500 g beef
- 1 pcs onion
- 2 pcs garlic
- 2 pcs carrot
Sauce
- 2 spoons butter
- 2 spoons self-rising flour
- 800 ml broth
- 2 bal dried dill
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 1 pcs lemon
- salt and pepper

Directions
First, prepare the meat. Melt the butter in a pan, add finely chopped onion and garlic, and sauté them until golden. Then add the chopped beef and sear it on all sides and let it simmer for a while.
Sauce - melt the butter, add the flour and roast it until golden brown. Then pour in the broth and stir gently to prevent lumps from forming.
Add dried dill, spices and let it all simmer together. Then add cooking cream and let the sauce thicken.
Finally, we season the sauce with lemon juice, add the stewed meat into it and simmer everything together for a while so the flavors can blend.
We serve it with dumplings.
