- 1 lb of rigatoni pasta
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 500 g beef mince
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1⁄2 Cup of red wine
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1⁄2 Cup of grated Parmesan
- 1⁄2 Cup of fresh basil leaves, chopped

Directions
Cook the rigatoni pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente; drain well.
In a large frying pan over medium heat, add the olive oil, garlic, and onion. Stir frequently, until the onion becomes translucent.
