Easy Spicy Tuna Avocado Sushi Roll
This recipe for Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll is a classic favorite for sushi lovers. Ingredients
For Sushi Rice:
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 cups water
- 1⁄4 Cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbls sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
For Sushi Roll:
- 4 letters nori (seaweed)
- 8 ounces sushi grade tuna, finely chopped
- 2 tbls mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 ripe avocado, thinly sliced
- Soy sauce, for serving (optional)

Directions
Rinse the sushi rice with cold water until the water runs clear.
In a pot, bring rice and water to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Let it cool.
In a small saucepan, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat until sugar and salt are fully dissolved. Set aside to cool.
Once rice and vinegar mixture are both cooled, mix them together until rice is evenly coated.
In a bowl, mix the chopped tuna, mayonnaise, and sriracha.
Arrange a sheet of nori on the sushi mat. Wet your fingers and press a thin layer of sushi rice on the sheet leaving a 1-inch gap at the top edge.
Layer the spicy tuna, cucumber, and avocado along the bottom edge of the rice-covered nori.
Roll up tightly using the sushi mat.
Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Cut each roll into six even pieces using a sharp, wet knife.
Serve the sushi rolls with soy sauce, if desired.
