"Hackfleischküchle" according to grandma's recipe meatballs

This recipe for "Hackfleischküchle" meatballs is particularly close to my heart as it comes from my grandma, who always prepared it with lots of love for the whole family. Every time I make mince patties according to her recipe, I am immediately reminded of the cozy family dinners in my childhood and my family can hardly wait to have mince patties again.

Directions

40 min.
1. Step

For the mince pie recipe, you first need to peel and finely dice the onion. That sounds easier than it is. Make sure you cut it really finely so that the flavor is well distributed. Then soak the bread roll in cold water.

2. Step

Place the mince in a large bowl and add the eggs, mustard and diced onion. Now squeeze out the bread roll well and add to the mince. Season the mixture with salt and pepper and knead everything well until a uniform mixture is formed. If necessary, add some breadcrumbs to adjust the consistency.

3. Step

Divide the mince mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a flat patty. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the mince patties on both sides until golden brown. Patience is required here - don't try to turn the patties too soon, otherwise they could fall apart. The mince patties can be served with any side dish.
