Homemade Grilled Greek Lamb Gyro in Pita

- 11⁄2 lb of lamb loin chops
- 4 large pita breads
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium cucumber, diced
- 1 Cup of crumbled feta cheese
- 1⁄2 Cup of tzatziki sauce
Marinade:
- 2 tbls of olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- salt and pepper to taste

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper for the marinade.
Lay the lamb chops in a shallow dish, pour the marinade over them, and rub it on all sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Preheat your barbecue grill on medium heat.
Grill the lamb chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the desired level of doneness. Remove from the grill and let them rest for few minutes, then slice thinly.
Warm the pita breads on the grill for a few seconds each side.
Spread some tzatziki sauce on the inside of each pita, then add slices of lamb, onions, tomatoes, cucumber, and crumbled feta cheese.
Fold the pitas in half and wrap the bottom with a paper napkin or aluminium foil to hold everything together.
Serve immediately, while still warm.
