How to make Amazing Chicken Shish Kebab
Shish Kebab is a delicious Middle Eastern dish made with cubed pieces of marinated meat. This particular recipe uses chicken, though you can substitute it with beef or lamb. It's a perfect meal for family dinners or for a fun weekend grill party with friends. Your taste buds will relish the smoky and tender meat skewers packed with flavors!
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 3 bell peppers, color of your choice cut into squares
- 2 large onions, cut into squares
- 2 zucchinis, sliced
- 1 Cup olive oil
- 3 tbls lemon juice
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- salt and pepper to taste

Directions
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cayenne pepper, turmeric, paprika, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
Add the cubed chicken to the bowl and mix well to ensure all the chicken pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
After the marination process, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
While the grill is heating, thread the marinated chicken, bell peppers, onions, and zucchini alternatively onto skewers.
Brush the grill grate lightly with oil and place the skewers onto the grill.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, turning the skewers occasionally until the chicken is well cooked and the vegetables are tender but still hold their shape.
Once the kebabs are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for few minutes.
Serve your shish kebabs with rice or pita bread and tzatziki sauce on the side. Enjoy!
