1. Step

In a bowl, combine garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sugar, honey, sesame oil, gochujang, and black pepper for the marinade. Add the thinly sliced beef and onions. Make sure every piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 3 hours or overnight if possible.

2. Step

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef in batches if needed, about 2-3 minutes per side. Sprinkle with green onions while grilling.

3. Step

While grilling the meat, prepare the BBQ sauce by combining all the sauce ingredients in a separate bowl.

4. Step

Serve the grilled beef along with the BBQ sauce, lettuce leaves and, cooked jasmine rice. Wrap the meat with the lettuce and rice and enjoy the BBQ Korean style.
