Old-Fashioned Beef Steak Hamburger
This juicy steak burger blends the robust flavor of fresh beef steak with the comforting familiarity of the classic hamburger. Seasoned to perfection and served with sautéed onions, juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce and a tender bun, this steak burger is sure to impress at your next cookout or family dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh beef steaks
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbls olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- Mayonnaise to taste
- Tomato slices
- Lettuce leaves

Directions
First, prepare the beef steaks. Season both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat a grill or a griddle pan on medium heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired level of doneness is reached.
In the meantime, heat the olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion slices until they become translucent and slightly caramelized. Set them aside.
About a minute before the steaks are done, place a slice of cheddar on each steak to melt.
Once the steaks are ready, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
To assemble the burgers, spread mayonnaise on the bottom of each bun. Then, place the steak with cheese on it, followed by sautéed onions, a slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf. Finish by putting the top of the bun on the lettuce.
Your steak burger is ready! Serve with a side of fries or a fresh salad, and enjoy.
