Roasted pork neck with sweet potatoes
Roasted pork neck with sweet potatoes is a dish I often prepare for family gatherings. My way to make a juicy pork neck is a marinade full of distinctive flavors. And sweet potatoes with the addition of rosemary are the perfect complement. Prepare this special dish for your loved ones, they will be delighted!
Ingredients
- 1 kg Necks
- 1 kg Sweet Potatoes
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 twigs Fresh rosemary
- 2 spoons Mustards
- 2 spoons With
- juice from one lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
- Frying oil

Start by preparing the marinade. In a bowl, mix pressed garlic, mustard, honey, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Rub the pork neck with this prepared marinade. Set aside for at least an hour, but if you have time, leave it in the refrigerator overnight - the meat will be even tastier.
After that, in a heated frying pan with a little oil, fry the pork neck on all sides, until a beautiful golden color. Then transfer it to an ovenproof dish.
Peel the sweet potatoes, cut into thick cubes, sprinkle with rosemary, salt, pepper and drizzle with oil.
Arrange the potatoes around the pork neck. Bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour, until the meat is tender and juicy and the potatoes are browned.
Serve hot, preferably with a fresh salad.
