Seared Tuna Steak with Soy Ginger Glaze

Ingredients
- 2 tuna Steaks
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil

- 1⁄4 Cup soy sauce

- 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Green onion, thinly sliced

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar ginger, and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and becomes syrupy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper on both. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. When the oil is hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes on each, or until browned.
Put the soy ginger glaze on both sides of the tuna steaks and continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes on each side until the glaze caramelizes and the tuna is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Remove from heat and let the tuna rest for a few minutes. Slice the tuna steaks and serve with extra glaze and thinly sliced green onions as garnish.
