1. Step

Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

2. Step

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add the onion and garlic and sauté until they are soft and golden brown.

3. Step

Add the chopped tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir and let simmer on a slightly cooled plate for about 30 minutes, until the tomatoes fall apart and the sauce reduces.

4. Step

Blend the sauce smooth with a stick blender. If it's too thick, add a little water.

The sauce is ready and prepared for use on pizza. You can cool it and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week, or you can freeze it for later use.
