Ultimate Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

- 3 Pounds boneless pork shoulder (or pork butt), trimmed of excess fat
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Cup chicken broth
- 1 Cup barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 tbls brown sugar
- 2 tbls apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions
Mix together the brown sugar, chilli powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Rub the spice mixture all over the meat, coating it.
Arrange the sliced onions and minced garlic around the pork.
In a separate bowl, mix the chicken broth, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and barbecue sauce. Pour the sauce over the pork, ensuring it covers it entirely.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours or until the tender meat easily pulls apart.
Once done, remove the pork from the slow cooker and transfer it to a plate or cutting board. Shred the meat using two forks.
Return the pulled pork to the slow cooker, allowing it to absorb the flavorful sauce for an additional 30 minutes on low heat.
