- 1 Cup of whole wheat flour
- 11⁄2 cups of rolled oats
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon of salt
- 1⁄2 Cup of unsweetened applesauce
- 1⁄2 Cup of honey
- 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
- 1 large Egg
- 1 Cup of raisins or other dried fruit (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
In another bowl, combine the applesauce, honey, vanilla extract, and egg. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mix, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the raisins or chosen dried fruit until they are evenly distributed in the dough.
Using a spoon, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet in rounded tablespoon amounts.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until the cookies are golden brown.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
