Pasta with shrimps in tomato sauce
The recipe for pasta with shrimps in tomato sauce is one of my favorite dishes. The prawns complement the pasta perfectly and the tomato sauce adds just enough zing to the dish.
Ingredients
- 400 grams spaghetti
- 400 grams Shrimp
- 1 can Tomatoes in juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- Pinch of red pepper
- Oil for the pan
- Salt and black pepper for seasoning
- Fresh basil for garnish

Start by cooking the spaghetti in salted water according to the instructions on the package. I always prefer al dente cooking so that the pasta is firm.
In a frying pan, fry finely chopped garlic in heated oil.
Then add the prawns that you have previously cleaned. On medium heat, fry them until pink, it takes about 5-7 minutes.
Then add a can of tomatoes. I prefer to use whole tomatoes, which I then pop in the pan. This gives you a sauce with bigger chunks of tomato, which adds a special character to the dish.
Season with salt, pepper and red pepper. Let the sauce simmer gently to combine all the flavours.
Finally, add the cooked pasta directly to the pan and mix everything together. Serve with fresh basil.
