Directions
Start by melting your butter slowly in a pan, not letting it brown as it may affect the balance of flavors.
After melting, combine it with the mayonnaise in a bowl. Using homemade mayonnaise can make a huge difference, but store-bought will also work well for this.
Add in the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, and mix until well combined. If you want a more tangy sauce, feel free to add a dash more of Worcestershire sauce.
Gradually add the lemon juice while stirring. The key to a balanced seafood sauce is to ensure that lemon juice is not overpowering; hence, it’s added last.
Add salt to taste.
Once all your ingredients are evenly mixed, taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Chill the sauce in your refrigerator for at least half an hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld well together.
Serve with your favorite seafood and enjoy!
