Roast turkey
Recipe for a delicious roast turkey that is suitable for family gatherings and celebrations.
Ingredients
Meat:
- 1 a piece carrot
For the herb butter:
- 13⁄4 mug butter
- 21⁄2 spoons olive oil
- 5 spoons lemon juice
- 1⁄2 spoons lemon peel
- 5 cloves garlic
- Salt, black pepper
On the inside of the turkey:
- Salt and black pepper
- 2 a piece The Onion
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 a handful Parsley
- 1 a piece lemon

Directions
Prepare the turkey the night before serving.
Wash it under running water inside and out. Then dry it with a kitchen towel.
In a bowl, mix together the ingredients for the herb butter.
Using your hands, spread the butter over the surface of the turkey.
Place the turkey in a large, low baking dish.
Salt and pepper the inside of the turkey and rub the inside with the ingredients for the inside.
Tie the turkey thighs together with kitchen twine. Insert a cooking thermometer into the leg from the bottom.
Cover the turkey with foil and bake at 100 degrees Celsius for at least 8 hours.
In the morning, uncover the turkey and roast for an hour at 200°C. The temperature on the thermometer should read approximately 76°C at the end of the roasting time.
After removing from the oven, cover the turkey again with foil and let it rest for another 25 minutes.
