Pork in beer sauce
Roast pork in beer sauce is a traditional Czech dish that is rich in flavour and ideal for cold days.
Ingredients
- 1 kg Of pork
- 2 a piece onion
- 4 Cloves garlic
- 250 ml Dark beer
- 2 Spoons mustard
- 2 Spoons With
- salt and pepper
- 2 Spoons lard

In the first step, salt and pepper the meat, which is then fried on all sides in hot lard. I personally use a copper pan to evenly distribute the heat.
Then move the pork into the baking dish.
Cut the onion into slices, slice the garlic and add both to the meat.
Mix everything with mustard and honey and pour beer.
Cover the baking tray and put in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Bake for about an hour, then uncover the baking dish and let the meat turn golden and the sauce reduce. It is important to baste the meat with the sauce occasionally during the baking process to keep it juicy.
