- 1 Cup plain yogurt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 11⁄2 cups granulated suga
- 3 large eggs
- 1⁄2 Cup vegetable oil
- 21⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or cooking spray, and line the bottom with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until they are light and fluffy. Add the vegetable oil and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the yogurt. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined after each addition, ensuring not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Place the cake pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
