Directions
First, clean the chard very well. It is important to make sure all the mud is gone so as not to ruin the texture of the dish.
Once cleaned, chop the chard. You don't have to be too precise, as they will cook and reduce in size.
Peel the garlic and chop it finely. I like to use a lot of garlic because it gives a special flavor to the chard.
Place a large skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
When the oil is hot add the garlic, sauté it until it begins to brown, this way it will release all its aroma.
Add the chopped chard to the pan. Be careful because they may jump a little when in contact with the hot oil.
Add salt, pepper and cumin to taste. For my part, I love the light touch that cumin gives to this dish.
Cook the chard over low heat until well sautéed. This may take about 20 minutes.
Optionally, you can add eggs to the dish. Simply make a hole between the chard and break them on top. Cover the pan and cook until the eggs are to your liking.
